In Practice: My Projects and Partnerships
As both an entrepreneur and a consultant, I know what it takes to build something from the ground up and what it takes to keep it going. My portfolio is a mix of businesses I’ve founded and those I’ve supported through consulting. Each one reflects my belief that small businesses deserve smart systems, clear strategy, and the kind of support that makes sustainability and growth feel possible.

I’m a one-woman shop with a deep well of trusted professionals who understand the unique needs of small business. I can do a lot in-house, from operations and interiors to systems and staffing, and when we need outside help, I can connect you with the right experts. I’m especially good at spotting the small steps that create big impact. Every business is different, so I work closely with owners to build a custom approach that fits both the budget and the goals.
Emporium Pies
Naming, Branding, Interior Design, Operations, Inventory Controls, Finance Modeling, Human Resources
I founded Emporium Pies in 2011 and poured over a decade of passion, creativity, and grit into building it from the ground up. What started as a dream grew into a beloved brand with four locations across Dallas/Fort Worth, nationwide shipping, and a team of over 100 employees. In 2022, I made the emotional but intentional decision to pass the torch. Through this journey, I learned firsthand what it takes to start something from scratch and, just as importantly, how to prepare to let it go. Emporium Pies will always feel like my baby, and I’m proud to see it continue to thrive, delighting customers and remaining a meaningful part of the community.

Internet Cafe 2
Naming, Branding, Interior Design, Operations, Forecast Modeling, Social Media, Real Estate Revitalization
Internet Cafe 2 was one of the most fun and unconventional projects I’ve worked on. My husband and I opened it together as a one-year pop-up that was part business, part art project, and part real estate play. What started as a quirky coffee shop and influencer hangout became a vibrant, creative space that brought new energy to an abandoned building. When the installation wrapped, we’d not only served a lot of espresso, we’d also helped transform the space into a leasable property. Sometimes creativity is the best strategy, and this was one of those times.

Sidestack Records
Branding, Interior Design, Operations, Inventory Controls, Forecast Modeling, Human Resources
Sidestack Records is the little record store that could… tucked away on Vashon Island, with all the charm and logistical quirks that come with island life. I spent a full year consulting with them, helping shape their operations while preserving the analog soul of the business. From refining inventory systems and staffing up, to enhancing HR practices and launching an online store, I worked to create a structure that honored their vibe but made daily life a whole lot easier. I also helped craft a distinctive brand identity, complete with merch that feels true to their spirit. Today, Sidestack is set up not just to survive, but to grow sustainably and continue serving our creative, music-loving community.

Stewarding Space
Operations, Strategy, Community Building, Sustainability
Stewarding Space is a commercial real estate group committed to thoughtful development and long-term sustainability. I’ve partnered with them to build out the systems and strategies that support both their day-to-day operations and their bigger-picture goals. My work includes project planning and management across multiple properties, as well as event strategy that helps activate and energize the downtown Lancaster district. Together, we’re creating internal processes that support both development and stewardship, with a focus on making each space more connected to its community and more sustainable over time.

Glass Optical
Branding, Interior Design
Glass Optical opened in 2014 in Oak Cliff, South Dallas, as a passion project between my husband and father-in-law. I had the joy of helping bring it to life behind the scenes. I focused on setting up the business systems, curating the brand, and designing a space that felt both elevated and welcoming. My work centered on creating an experience: a beautifully designed interior, a client-focused flow, and a thoughtful eyewear selection that set the tone for the shop's reputation. We sold the business in 2017, but it continues to thrive today, still known for its personalized service and strong sense of style.

You’re building something great — and I’d love to help. Whether you're starting fresh, growing what you’ve got, or just looking for a little clarity, I’m here for it.
